LDF Management and Support

Halletec understands the current difficulties in recruiting experienced policy staff to progress LDF work and offers a comprehensive delivery package. This includes timetabling, auditing and co-ordinating evidence, capacity building with stakeholders and partners, ongoing self-assessment and Development Plan Document preparation at all stages to adoption. Halletec can also fill staffing gaps on a temporary and fixed term basis to suit your delivery programmes.

Critical Friend Support

Many Local Planning Authorities are facing difficulties in delivering LDFs. Ensuring compliance with the Planning Inspectorate’s Tests of Soundness is paramount to successful adoption. Halletec can review and audit preparatory work and highlight key areas of potential risk to achieving Soundness, and recommend a package of solutions to ensure smooth progress to adoption.

Training

Halletec also offers a unique series of entertaining, informative and motivating events and seminars that can be pitched at audiences with a range of technical experience. Councillors, Corporate Management Teams, Local Strategic Partnerships and Policy staff will leave with a clear understanding of the nature and role of LDFs and how they are delivered, core concepts such as spatial planning, local distinctiveness and infrastructure delivery, the relationship of LDFs to Corporate Activity and Funding, and the linkage to Sustainable Community Strategies and Local Area Agreements.
